‘Before starting at The Larder I would have felt isolated and would sit at home staring at the walls and not engaged within the community. I first learned about The Larder when I attended their community meals. This spurred me on to volunteer with them which built my confidence, helped me develop invaluable cooking skill and provide work experience volunteering. I am now more engaged within the community, feel less isolated and feel much happier and made a lot of friends along the way’.
